Dr. Scott has worked in a variety of settings. She has been in private practice for over fifteen years. During this time, she provided outpatient psychotherapy, psychological/educational evaluations, and regularly consulted with local schools. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Scott has developed a specialty practice that focuses on psychological and educational assessments for a variety of presenting problems (e.g., attention, learning, and social/emotional issues).  As a former school psychologist and special education teacher, she is regularly sought out as an educational consultant to help parents make informed decisions about future educational planning. Committed to staying abreast of the latest research and treatment protocols for learning and attention disorders, Dr. Scott also provides seminars on topics such as AD/HD, dyslexia, and executive function.   Dr. Scott’s expertise also includes diagnostic evaluations for mood and anxiety disorders. She is a published author in the areas of Teacher Education and Special Education, and her most recent research investigated the coexisting relationship between reading disabilities and behavioral disorders.

Dr. Scott is married and is a proud mother of twins. She is also an active member of a number of local and national professional, civic, and philanthropic organizations.
